چکیده

The effect of extrinsic traps on the charge transport in organic semiconductors has been investigated. An analytical model describing hopping transport with traps is formulated on the basis of percolation theory. The results show that the presence of a trap distribution with energy offset and width different from that of the intrinsic density of states does not change the basic phenomenology of hopping transport, as revealed by the temperature dependence of the conductivity at high temperature. However the traps may significantly affect the transport at low temperature. The relation between trap concentration and conductivity is discussed. The model predictions are in good agreement with experimental results. 2007 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.

Field Dependent Charge Carrier Transport for Organic Semiconductors at the Time of Flight Configuration

In this paper, we used the time-of-flight (TOF) of a charge packet, that injected by a voltage pulse to calculate the drift velocity and mobility of holes in organic semiconducting polymers. The technique consists in applying a voltage to the anode and calculating the time delay in the appearance of the injected carriers at the other contact. The method is a simple way to determine the charge t...

Influence of ionizing dopants on charge transport in organic semiconductors.

Ionizing chemical dopants are widely used in organic semiconductors to enhance the charge transport properties by increasing the number of mobile charge carriers. However, together with mobile charges, chemical doping produces anion-cation pairs in the organic matrix. In this work we use experimental and computational analysis to study the influence of these ionic species on the charge transpor...

Intrinsic charge transport on the surface of organic semiconductors.

The air-gap field-effect technique enabled realization of the intrinsic (not limited by static disorder) polaronic transport on the surface of rubrene (C42H28) crystals over a wide temperature range. The signatures of this intrinsic transport are the anisotropy of the carrier mobility, mu, and the growth of mu with cooling. Anisotropy of mu vanishes in the activation regime at low temperatures,...

Study by simulation the influence of temperature on the formation of space charge in the dielectric multilayer Under DC Electric stress

Multidielectric polyethylene is a material that is generally employed as insulation for  the HVDC isolations. In this paper, the influence of temperature on space charge dynamics has been studied, low-density polyethylene (LDPE) and Fluorinated Ethylene Propylene (FEP) sandwiched between two electrodes were subjected to voltage application of 5kV (14.3 kV/mm) for extended duration of time ...
